On October 31, 2016, the , under the directorship of Dr. Steven Fine, held a conference titled 鈥Agnon鈥檚 Stories of the Land of Israel: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of S.Y. Agnon鈥檚 Nobel Prize.鈥 The Center organized the conference behalf of the Joseph and Faye Glatt Program on Israel and the Rule of Law and Rabbi Shalom Carmy, assistant professor of Bible and Jewish philosophy, and Rabbi Jeffrey Saks 鈥91YC, 鈥93BR, 鈥95R, Agnon scholar and director of the Academy for Torah Initiatives and Directions, convened the scholars who presented.
