Dr. Catherine DeLazzero, clinical associate professor of writing at the , delivered a presentation on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, called “Possibilities for Teaching Trauma Writing” as part of a panel called “Reading & Writing to Process Trauma” at the in Baltimore, MD (Nov. 21-24, 2019).
In the presentation, she described the impacts of trauma on students’ experiences with writing and school, the purposes and benefits of writing about trauma in academic contexts and guidelines and strategies for trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive teaching.
