Dr. Linda Shires, David and Ruth Gottesman Professor of English and chair of the department of English at , will post a review of John Lockwood Kipling: Arts & Crafts in the Punjab and London ( 2017) in a 2018 issue of Victorian Studies, the official journal of the North American Victorian Studies Association.
This is the first book to explore the artistic, administrative and pedagogical achievements in England and India of Lockwood Kipling, the father of Rudyard Kipling. The book contains 17 essays on all facets of Kipling’s career. The volume accompanies the 2017 Victoria and Albert Museum/Bard Graduate Center Gallery exhibition of the same name, which closes in New York City on January 7, 2018.
