Dr. S. Abraham Ravid, professor and chair of finance at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½â€™s , was on American Public Media's Marketplace on March 26. Ravid commented on a move by the president of the National Association of Theater Owners to test the idea of offering discounted movie tickets one day a week to drive up box office attendance. Ravid said that while a discount day might be a good marketing strategy, it probably wouldn't raise attendance dramatically: "You would expect the decline in theater attendance will continue as more ways of delivering movies become available."
