Dr. Joy Ladin, David and Ruth Gottesman Professor of English and director of the Writing Center at YU鈥檚 Stern College for Women, published a number of works this summer and delivered several presentations.
Her recently published poetry include 鈥,鈥 featured in Blue Lyra Review on June 28; 鈥淣asia鈥檚 Anger,鈥 鈥淚ndian Take-Out鈥 and 鈥淎ubade,鈥 featured in in July; 鈥溾 and ,鈥 featured in the Jewish Journal on August 14 and September 3, respectively.
Ladin鈥檚 essay, 鈥淪upposed Persons: Emily Dickinson and 鈥業鈥 ,鈥 appeared in The Emily Dickinson International Society Bulletin in its May/June 2013 issue.
In addition, she delivered a plenary address at the 11th in Philadelphia, PA, on June 10, titled, 鈥淪he Said 鈥業 Know What It鈥檚 Like to Be Dead,鈥 鈥 as well as a keynote address titled, 鈥淪hipwrecked with God,鈥 at the at Lake Delton, WI, on August 9.
