Peninnah Schram, professor of speech and drama at , will be a featured performer at the 2013 in Berlin, Germany.
With collaborator Gerard Edery, a singer and guitarist she has performed with for more than 20 years, Schram will present an entertaining, humorous and evocative program that honors the rich and vibrant oral traditions of the Jewish people. Their material will include stories and songs drawn from Ashkenazi and Sephardic sources in a subtle interplay of narrative and music.
The festival will take place from August 15-25. Schram and Edery have recorded an album together, (Sefard Records).
